Location.
Situated 6km from Brisbane CBD, close to The University of Queensland, Hillstone St Lucia has views over a hundred acres of stunning golf course. It is positioned on the site of an old homestead, Hillstone, built in the 1880’s by a prominent local entrepreneur, and which at the time had expansive views over the owner’s vineyard and cane fields. Hundred acre bar is located on the site of the homestead’s stables.
Venue Facilities.
Hillstone St Lucia has three function rooms (without columns) plus an award winning open air bar and restaurant. A traditional–styled venue with modern facilities, it offers beautiful parkland views, outdoor terraces and break-out options, natural light and fresh air. Parking is simple, with up to 200 car spaces free of charge and additional features included a facilitator’s room, an audio visual operating room, wheelchair access and custom designed car access into the venue. Room layouts are flexible and can be adapted to suit a variety of conferences, events and exhibitions.
Catering.
The style of cuisine at Hillstone St Lucia is modern Australian/European, with an emphasis on using the freshest local produce to create restaurant-quality food. With an extensive range of menus, the Hillstone St Lucia team works with clients to tailor a menu to specific function requirements and to ensure individual needs are catered for. The beverage selection is also extensive, with numerous packages to choose from and a range of alternate options available.
Access.
Car or taxi from the city via Coronation Drive: follow until you get to the Gaily Five-ways roundabout. Turn left and immediately turn right into Indooroopilly Road. Drive 100 metres to the next roundabout, and turn left in Carawa Street. The Hillstone St Lucia entrance is on your right. Travel time is approximately 10 mins.
Public Transport.
From the city: take the Ipswich train from Roma or Central Station and alight at Indooroopilly Station. Walk out for the station, go down the stairs, walk under the overpass, turn left and after walking about 50 metres to the bus stop, take the 432 bus. Alight at the bus stop on the corner of Indooroopilly Road and Iona Terrace and you will see the Hillstone St Lucia entrance from there. Travel time is approximately 30 minutes. To get you home, there is a direct line to a taxi service.
